There are many survey sites, but I recommend starting with the ones below, as they have very good reputations and offer great payout options, like PayPal, Visa gift cards, Amazon gift cards, etc. So, here are four ways on how to make money in one hour online with surveys.

Prime Opinion

Simply by voicing your opinions on current affairs, what dish soap you use, or what TV shows you prefer to watch, you can put some extra money in your pocket just by using Prime Opinion.

For example, you’ll get 25 points for every receipt and bonus points for buying particular items. On my last receipt, I got an extra 30 points for buying Sunchips and an extra 34 points for buying Oroweat bread.

Deliver with DoorDash

The average Instacart shopper makes $20 per hour, but you could make more if you’re available during peak times, and especially during bad weather (i.e., snow and ice), as many people aren’t comfortable driving in bad conditions (I know I’m not!).

Task Rabbit

Task Rabbit is a website and app that allows you to make money by doing odd jobs for other people. These tasks can include anything from picking up groceries, being event staff, working on crafts, helping set up a garage sale to assembling Ikea furniture.

The average Task Rabbit makes $35 an hour, but the pay varies depending on the task. Doing small repairs is highly in demand, so if you’re handy with tools, you can make great money! For example, in my area, TaskRabbit says that performing small home repairs can earn about $47 an hour.

✅ Proofread a few short articles

If you’re a grammar nerd, then one of the best and easiest ways to make money in your spare time is by proofreading short articles, a few chapters of a book, some sales copy, etc. You can make over $25 per hour in many cases, making it a great option for many people.

Teach English with VIPKid

Do you have a degree? You can make money by teaching English online to kids with VIPKid. You don’t need to be a native English speaker, but you need a bachelor’s degree, and they’d like it if you have at least two years of experience in teaching, tutoring, coaching, or mentoring.

You can teach on your own schedule from wherever you are located. They also don’t have any hourly commitments, so you can come and go as your schedule allows. All you need is 25 minutes to teach a class, and you’re good!

Teaching is one of the best ways how to make money in one hour online.

Teach on OutSchool

If you have skills that pertain to kids (3-18 yrs old), be it crafting, singing, cooking, programming, etc. You can teach classes to kids online with Outschool. You don’t need a degree, as you do with VIPKid, but you will need to pass a background check. You can teach anything that you are passionate about or have experience with. It’s the perfect work from home job when you don’t have a lot of time.

• English as a 2nd Language Practise with Show & Tell (ages 4-8)
• Babysitting Basics for Teenagers (ages 11-15)

My 7 yr old took a “Cooking Arepas with Mirabel – an Encanto themed cooking class,” and we both loved it. It was a lot of fun, very interactive with the teacher and her arepas turned out great! The whole class was maybe 30 minutes, and we had a new food item she loves cooking.

Steady

If you’re looking for a more consistent way to make money, you can sign up for Steady, a site that pairs people with online jobs, in fact, micro-jobs (yup, a great place for making money in one hour).

You answer a few questions about your skills and experience, then set up a work portfolio, and you’re all set to start earning! You can do things like answer surveys, transcribe audio files, or write short articles. They say the average steady user earns $5,500 a year with the help of their app!

Clean homes in your neighborhood

Go ahead and get on any Facebook moms’ group, and you’ll hear how moms have no time to clean their homes! You can easily rake in $50 to clean someone’s home – simple tasks like vacuuming, mopping, and a few scrubbing projects.

Remember to ask the homeowner if they have pets and the number of bathrooms in the home, as those things increase your workload. You can also inquire about special requests like cleaning the fridge or oven, as some people are willing to pay a bit more for those services.

One mom in my group offers a recurring weekly cleaning service, with several clients she cleans for every week! She makes $400 a week just by cleaning other people’s homes.

Fiverr

Are you a skilled writer, designer, or programmer? Why not offer your services on Fiverr and make some extra cash? You can set your own prices and keep 100% of the profits! Some of the highest-paying jobs on Fiverr include video making, infographic design, and mobile app development.

Fiverr also offers a variety of marketing and business services, such as social media management, lead generation, and website design. They even have people on their platform who write love spells, can do a miniature painting of your pet, and even teach you curse words in another language. So if you have a skill, someone out there wants your help (and is willing to pay for it).

Be a mystery shopper

You can get paid to shop and dine out as a mystery shopper. This is a great way to make some extra cash, and you can do it on your own schedule. You will need to provide honest feedback about your experience, so companies can improve their customer service, their displays, and inventory mix.

You’ll need a good eye for detail and a great understanding of what good customer service should look like. You can get started with Field Agent or Mobee.

Or, if you’re looking for something similar but not necessarily a mystery shopper, you can still shop and earn money with Gigwalker. These gigs can take anywhere from 5 minutes to a couple of hours (so I’m stretching this post’s “one hour” claim for this).

FriendPC

FriendPC has hundreds of unique Virtual Friends to text, chat with, play games with, video, or phone call. FriendPC pals provide one-of-a-kind friendship experiences and can help people that just need a friend to talk to.

This is the more “typical” online friend experience that people imagine. People can rent you to be a friend for the day, send them texts throughout the day, or simply lend them an ear and offer advice on anything they might need assistance with. Or you may just sit around and play games! If you’re interested in this work, be sure to check out all the places where you can get paid to chat.

Depending on the work, you can make anywhere from $5 – $30 an hour.

Amazon Mechanical Turk (MTurk)

Not everyone is cut out for micro-tasking, but if you can stay focused, Amazon’s Mechanical Turk can be a great way to earn extra cash. You can do a variety of tasks on the site, such as taking surveys, transcribing audio, identifying objects in photos, tagging, etc.

MTurk is a great option if you’re looking for something a little more passive, as you can work on your own time and complete tasks when you have some free time. You’ll need to be organized and focused to make the most of Mechanical Turk, but it can be a great way to earn some extra cash.

Clickworker

Clickworker is a micro-tasking site that pays you to do small tasks online, such as taking surveys, writing reviews, data entry, and more. You can work on your own schedule and complete tasks whenever you have some free time. 

Essentially, you’re a freelance worker performing microtasks, but remember, the higher your skill set, the higher the jobs pay, so fill out your profile to the best of your ability to get the higher-paying gigs. For some categories of work, you may need to pass a competency test.

They pay via Payoneer, PayPal, or SEPA in weekly or bi-weekly cycles.

If you don’t already have a PayPal account then no worries, you can easily sign up right now and immediately connect it to your game apps so you can start depositing real money today. Here’s how you open an account:

• Go to the Sign Up page.
• Choose the account type you want (personal or business, most likely you’ll choose a personal PayPal account) and click Sign Up Now.
• Enter your information, including your email address, and next choose a password (it must contain at least eight characters and is case sensitive). You will need these to log in to your PayPal account.
• Click Next.

You don’t have to perform “work” to get paid. Sometimes you can rent out your stuff and get paid good money. Or maybe you’re planning on working out later today; you can get paid for that too!

Spot Hero

Are you one of those people with a parking spot that goes unused for most of the month? If so, you can rent it out with Spot Hero. Just enter your location and how much you want to charge daily – it’s that easy! This can be especially lucrative in high population metro areas. 

For example, in San Fransisco, just doing some rough calculations on what they are showing. You could rent your spot (that’s in a primo location) for about $425 a month. That could be ongoing passive income, and all you did was spend 10 minutes making a profile and inputting your parking spot location.

Neighbor

Is there any extra unused storage space in your home or on your property? Why not rent it out on Neighbor and make some extra cash?

According to their website, “Neighbors earn an average of $250 per month by renting out their unused parking spots, driveways, garages, or storage units.” So if you have a large space (especially in a metro area), then absolutely consider listing it. 

For example, in Portland, Or “On average, a Neighbor storage unit in Portland rents for $319 per month.

Evidation

Get paid to stay healthy! With Evidation, you can earn quick cash by taking health surveys, participating in focus groups, but mainly by being active (walking totally counts). It connects with over 20 different health apps, so your data syncs on its own. You can even get paid for meeting your sleep goal! 

You won’t make a lot in one hour, but you can download the app and get it synced to your fitness app in less than 5 minutes, and you’re done. You could do a few paid health questionnaires and surveys in 10 minutes to earn more! Your award options are PayPal cash, direct deposit, and gift cards. 

10,000 points = $10. And in one day, I earned $.92 for tracking my heart rate, working out for 60 minutes, and walking 7,104 steps. So I earned $.92, not a ton. But when you multiply that by all the days in the year, that’s $335.80.

This is unlikely, as I know I won’t work out every day; I’ll maybe average a 60% workout rate. So let’s guesstimate and say that at the end of the year, I’ll earn around $250 (as I am a good walker on days off of working out.

I will happily take an extra $250 a year for doing something that I already should/would be doing!

Earn money while watching TV 

You probably won’t get rich, but you could make some easy cash by letting companies pay you to watch TV. You can make around $200 a month doing this, so not a lot, but all that small change from all your different money-making activities adds up to a big paycheck! So to make money watching tv & videos, there are a few different ways to do it.

With InboxDollars, you can get paid to watch videos (including ads) or try out Viggle. You get rewarded points for watching shows and can cash out for gift cards.

If you’re more of a movie person, you can try out Swagbucks to watch movie trailers and get paid for it! Just use the search bar on the site to find “movie trailers” and start earning.

Making money selling stuff

If you have some stuff lying around that you don’t need, why not sell it and make some extra cash? Some of these things you can sell in just 10 minutes, while other avenues may take a bit longer (most less than an hour).

Sell old gold jewelry

This is a great option if you have old gold jewelry that you don’t wear anymore (or if you were gifted items that aren’t your style. You can take it to a local jeweler or a local pawn shop, and they will test the gold to see how pure it is and then give you a quote based on the current market value. Once you agree on a price, they will pay you in cash or check right then and there. This is a quick and easy way to make some extra cash and clean out your jewelry box.

However, if you don’t want to try a pawn shop, there are a few great online options for you to make money selling ythe our old jewelry.

If youthe have a high-end designer piece, I suggest you try putting your jewelry up for auction on Worthy. Where interest drives up the purchase price! Don’t worry, Worthy makes the process very easy for you. It does take about 10-14 days from beginning to end of this process.

However, if you just like the money asap, then you can sell your item to Cash for Diamonds. They’ll send you a fully insured mailer kit (or print your FedEx label at home) and ship it. Within 24 hours of receiving your piece, they’ll make you an offer, “diamond evaluations are performed by professionals who have been certified by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), ensuring the most accurate price for the piece.” Then you can get paid via check or straight to your PayPal account.

Sell unwanted gift cards online

It took me literally 2 minutes to turn an Urban Outfitters gift card (that I’ve had in a drawer for years) into a Target gift card! You’ll even get a little bit more value for a trade-in vs. straight out selling it to them for PayPal cash.

Sell your old textbooks

You can sell your old textbooks (which are basically taking up space in your garage or closet) and make money from them. To do this, check out Bookscouter, which will tell you what your book is worth and where you can sell it. Once you find the buyer, simply print a shipping label and send it off!

Sell your pictures

You can sell your pictures online and make some money if you’re an amateur photographer. There are a few different ways to do this.

One option is to sell your photos on stock photography websites. These sites accept images from amateur photographers, and then people can buy them to use for their own purposes. Popular stock photography websites are Depositphotos and Shutterstock. I use them to find specialty photos for my blog posts and workbooks that I sell.

Sell items locally

This is probably the quickest way to get rid of stuff and make some money. Just create a listing for whatever you’re selling, and then meet up with the buyer to give them the item. You can sell pretty much anything on OfferUp, from furniture to clothes to electronics.

Sell feet pics 

Yes, you read that correctly – some people adore feet and will pay a king’s ransom for your cute foot photographs! There are several websites (usually labeled “foot fetish”) that will pay you to shoot photos and videos of your feet.

Fun with Feet is just one platform you can use; their top earners can make around $500 daily! You can get started selling your feet pics right here and start making money online.

Return something you bought

If you bought something and then changed your mind, you can usually return it and get your money back. Usually, this only works if you haven’t used the item, yet if you’ve used it and it’s defective, then absolutely return it.

I know driving from store to store returning things is a pain, but also consider the money saved on interest if you put the purchase on a credit card. That $59 top could easily end up costing $70 with enough months’ interest racked up.

Get a price adjustment

Or maybe, you don’t need to return it. You can get a price adjustment if the item has gone on sale for cheaper.
